Indak ‘25: Balangay City High Performing Arts back-to-back champs in open category; Daniel R. Aguinaldo NHS unseats City High in school-based category

THE BALANGAY City High Performing Arts of Mati City, Davao Oriental, emerged back-to-back champions as they defended the title in the open category. 

Apart from the crown, which they secured P1 million, Balangay was also awarded Best Music with P50,000 and Best Streetdance from Pocari Sweat with P50,000 worth of products. 

The three-peat champion Sindac Anib Performing Ensemble of Bislig City, Surigao del Sur secured the second place and special awards: Best in Artistic Design and Best Choreography. 

The Columbio Performing Arts Guild, which is all the way from Columbio, Sultan Kudarat, secured third place, while Katribu Mindanao Ensemble of Kapalong, Davao del Norte got fourth place, and Samu’t Sari Dance Company of Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, was fifth. 

Hakot awards 

In the Davao City schools-based category, Mana Performing Arts Ensemble of Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School dethroned the Sining Sayon Dawet Cultural Arts Ensemble of Davao City NHS, which placed second. 

Apart from the P1 million grand prize, DRANHS also secured all four special awards: Best in Artistic Design, Best in Music, Best in Choreography with P50,000 each, and Best in Street Dance from Pocari Sweat with P50,000 worth of products. 

Meanwhile, the Sta. Ana Performing Arts Guild of Sta. Ana NHS secured third; the Sining Mananayaw Ensemble of Catalunan Pequeño NHS claimed fourth, and Kultura Sandayo Indangan Performing Arts Guild of Teofilo NHS was fifth.
