- Teen student turns over P12-M worth of weed from BF’s boarding house
A 19-YEAR-OLD student surrendered P12 million worth of suspected marijuana and disposable vapes on Thursday, Sept. 10, found inside the boarding house of her boyfriend in Datu Bago, Barangay 5-A, Davao City.
The student, a resident of Jacinto, Brgy 32-D, turned over the items to the Sasa Police Station duty Desk Officer, PCpl Michael Q. Lanurias, at approximately 12:40 p.m.
The surrendered items included 17 bricks of suspected dried marijuana leaves, two rolls of packaging tape containing suspected dried marijuana leaves, 104 green cellophane packages, each with a plastic sachet of suspected dried marijuana leaves, and fruiting tops wrapped with “fragile” packaging tape.
Also, police confiscated 50 assorted-flavor disposable vapes containing suspected marijuana juice stuffed inside a carton box, 12 assorted-flavor disposable vapes containing suspected marijuana juice, and three container boxes.
Authorities arrested the student’s boyfriend on Sept. 9, 2025, during a simultaneous checkpoint at Purok 26, Malagamot Road, Barangay Panacan, Davao City.
Meanwhile, the surrendered items will be submitted to the Davao City Forensic Unit for testing.
