A WOMAN classified as a high-value individual (HVI) was arrested in an early morning buy-bust in Barangay 76-A on Friday, yielding nearly a million pesos worth of suspected shabu.
The suspect, identified only as alias Lovely, 23, was apprehended at approximately 6:27 a.m. on Feb. 6, 2026, at her residence in Purok 1, Bucana.
According to the police report, an undercover officer acting as a poseur-buyer purchased one sachet of suspected shabu from the suspect. Following the transaction, authorities recovered two additional large heat-sealed sachets of the illegal substance.
Aside from the shabu, with an estimated standard drug price of ₱748,000.00, operatives also recovered the ₱1,000 genuine buy-bust bill and eight pieces of ₱1,000 boodle money, an iPhone, and a rechargeable shaver box used to conceal the contraband.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit XI, City Intelligence Unit, the 1st and 2nd City Mobile Force Companies, and the Sta. Ana Police Station led the joint operation.
For now, the suspect is in police custody and will face a charge for violation of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
