THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) heightened its security measures for the observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days (Undas 2025), deploying hundreds of personnel and activating aerial drone patrols across the city’s major cemeteries.

PCOL Mannan Caracas Muarip, the acting DCPO director, personally supervised the security operations over the two-day period, ensuring a safe and orderly commemoration for Davaoeños.

The DCPO also activated OPLAN: Eye in the Sky, which utilized aerial drone patrols to provide real-time monitoring of cemetery perimeters and adjacent areas to support ground personnel.

From Oct. 31 to Nov. 1, Muarip conducted on-site inspections and monitored security on Calinan Public Cemetery, Calinan Memorial Park, Mt. Apo Pryce Gas Gardens Davao, Mintal Public Cemetery, Toril Memorial Park, and Lubogan Public Cemetery, Toril Memorial Park, Forest Lake Memorial Park (Panacan and Maa), Bunawan Public Cemetery, Mandug Public Cemetery, Tibungco Public Cemetery, Davao Memorial Park, and Manila Memorial Park.

Muarip stressed that the success of the operation hinged on community cooperation.

“While we gather in cemeteries to honor our departed loved ones, let us also remain vigilant and mindful of the homes and properties we leave behind. Your cooperation plays a vital role in maintaining a peaceful and secure Undas celebration—for our families and our communities,” he said.
