A TOTAL of P6.4 million worth of shabu was seized, and 190 drug personalities were arrested by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) in its anti-criminality efforts for August 2025.
Acting city director Col Mannan C. Muarip said the DCPO conducted 168 anti-drug operations and confiscated 2,764 grams of shabu and 906 grams of marijuana, with a total street value of P6,492,736.32. A total of 219 drug-related cases were filed in court.
Fifty-seven operations were conducted against illegal gambling, resulting in the arrest of 63 individuals and the confiscation of P19,724 in bet money. All 57 cases were filed in court.
Through intensified manhunt operations, the DCPO apprehended a total of 185 wanted individuals, including 69 most wanted persons.
Meanwhile, the DCPO conducted 32 operations, leading to the arrest of 11 individuals and the confiscation of 14 firearms.
Additionally, 11 firearms were voluntarily surrendered, and 10 were turned in for safekeeping. Eleven cases were filed in court.
Muarip attributed their accomplishments to the strong collaboration between the police, the community, barangay officials, and the local government. “The success of DCPO’s operations is not solely the result of law enforcement efforts, but also the active participation of the community, barangay leaders, and local government,” he said.
