DCPO named best city police office at PNP Day 2026

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) cemented its status as a premier law enforcement unit after bagging multiple top awards, including the coveted Best City Police Office title, during the PNP Day 2026 Celebration held at the Police Regional Office XI parade grounds on Feb. 2, 2026.

Led by acting city director PCol Mannan C. Muarip, the DCPO dominated the regional awards, which recognize outstanding performance, professionalism, and dedication across Police Regional Office XI.

A hall of fame performance

The DCPO’s leadership and specialized units were recognized for their excellence in both operations and administration:

  • Best City Police Office: Davao City Police Office
  • Best Senior Commissioned Officer (Operations): PCOL Mannan C. Muarip
  • Best Junior Commissioned Officer (Administration): PLTCOL Jed G. Clamor
  • Best City Mobile Force Company: 1st CMFC, led by PLt Col Daisy G. Torres
  • Best Non-Commissioned Officer (Administration): PSSG Jed Madani

The ceremony was presided over by regional director PBGen Leon Victor Z. Rosete, with National Police Commission (Napolcom) XI regional director Ma. Teresa E. Tuburan-Pacudan served as the guest of honor and speaker.

 Tuburan-Pacudan commended the region’s police force for its resilience and emphasized that strong institutional guidance is vital for the organization’s continued strength.

In his message following the ceremony, Muarip dedicated the awards to the residents of Davao City. He emphasized that the recognition is a reflection of the collective sacrifices made by his personnel and the deep trust established with the community.

“These awards are dedicated to the people of Davao City,” Muarip stated. “The efforts, sacrifices, and dedication of every DCPO personnel are for the benefit of our community. I commend the men and women of the DCPO for their professionalism, teamwork, and steadfast commitment to public service”.

The event also served to honor local government units, private stakeholders, and members of the judiciary who have provided “invaluable support” to the PNP’s mission in the region.
