TWO high-value targets yielded P204,000 worth of suspected shabu after they were arrested by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) on Nov. 3 in Purok Lakandula, Barangay Agdao Proper.
The successful raid, led by the DCPO City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and the City Special Operations Group (CSOG) under Lt Col Randy Sambalod, exemplifies the DCPO’s commitment to its D.A.V.A.O. Policing Framework—which stands for Discipline, Action, Virtue, Accountability, and Order.
The DCPO collaborated closely with the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit XI, intelligence personnel from the 2nd City Mobile Force Company, Police Station 1 – Sta. Ana, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency XI.
Colonel Mannan Muarip, acting DCPO director, reiterated the force’s unwavering stance against illegal drugs, which he described as an “evil that destroys lives, fractures families, and threatens the peace, safety, and progress of the community.”
“Let me make this clear—Davao City will never be a safe ground for drug lords, pushers, or users. To those who persist in poisoning our communities: your time is running out. No influence, no wealth, and no power can shield you from justice. This is not a threat—it is a solemn promise,” he said.
Muarip urged law enforcers to be relentless, stating that every successful operation is “a victory for the people of Davao,” and reminding them to “live by the D.A.V.A.O. mantra—Discipline, Action, Virtue, Accountability, and Order.”
