Davao City registers 406,117 YAKAP beneficiaries

THE PHILIPPINE Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) XI has recorded a total of 406,117 Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) registrations in Davao City, the highest in Davao Region as of May 2026.

Davao City also has 59,725 YAKAP registered beneficiaries with first patient encounter (FPE) where PhilHealth members complete a mandatory medical check-in at their chosen primary care clinics to avail of free health benefits.

In Davao Region, Davao Occidental has the lowest number of registered beneficiaries at 74,858 and 13,181 with FPE.

The region presently has a total of 1,229,101 YAKAP beneficiaries and 210,079 with FPE as well as 188 YAKAP clinics and 82 GAMOT (Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment) providers.

YAKAP is an enhanced Konsulta package that offers essential services of free consultations, laboratory tests, and medicines for members.

According to Germaine Tan, PhilHealth XI OIC for Field Operations Division, Davao Region currently has a coverage rate of 93.11% with 5,274,909 members and dependents.
