  • 20 PRO XI officers terminated in PNP internal cleansing

TWENTY personnel from the Police Regional Office (PRO) XI were dismissed from service in the first quarter of 2026 as part of a wider nationwide crackdown on errant officers.

Data released by the Philippine National Police Public Information Office (PNP-PIO) revealed that a total of 245 personnel were terminated nationwide from January 1 to March 31, 2026.

The dismissals underscore the organization’s “zero-tolerance” policy regarding misconduct.

The PNP resolved a total of 765 administrative cases during the three months. While dismissal was the most severe action, other penalties included:

  • Suspensions: 341 (the most common penalty)
  • Dismissals: 245
  • Reprimands: 115

The majority of these cases involved police non-commissioned officers.

Outside of the National Capital Region Police Office (67) and National Headquarters (40), PRO XI (Davao Region) recorded the third-highest number of dismissals with 20, followed by PRO 12 (Soccsksargen) with 15.

‘Accountability is aramount’

PNP Director General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. emphasized that these administrative actions are vital to the “New PNP” reform agenda.

“Keep your standards high, act with discipline, and serve with integrity,” Nartatez told personnel. “Always remember that accountability is paramount in every action to earn the trust of the people.”

The PNP’s integrity monitoring program continues to focus on strengthening discipline and promoting transparency. These efforts are part of the broader mission to provide “Fast, Honest, and Felt Service” across the archipelago.
