Secretary Leo Tesoro Magno, Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) chair, said the fair reflects the four EAGA countries’ potential as a destination for investment, tourism, and innovation.

“Today, we are not just showcasing products here. We are demonstrating capacity. confidence in our commitment to reach our development,” Magno said.

“To all of you, who are traders, exhibitors, and delegates, may this fair lead to productive partnerships, expanded market access, and deeper regional integration,” he added.

Dignitaries and guests from BIMP-EAGA  graced the fair exhibition opening on Sunday.

Deddy Faisal Bin Ahmad Salleh, Consul General of Malaysia, said the event is not only about trade but transforming geography into opportunities.

“East Malaysia and Mindanao sit at the heart of ASEAN’s blue economy. With abundant renewable energy, biodiversity, and a young population, this corridor could well be ASEAN’s next frontier of inclusive growth,” the consul general said.

“What you see here today is more than a display. It is a symbol of friendship, progress, and hope for a more connected and inclusive BIMP-EAGA,” she said.

The 3-day trade fair features products, tourism destinations, and innovations from each member country.
