THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) arrested 98 individuals for various offenses and confiscated illegal drugs valued at nearly half a million pesos in a series of operations from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1.
Acting DCPO director, Col Mannan C. Muarip said they launched 40 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 42 suspects and the confiscation of 56.525 grams of shabu (estimated drug price of P384,370), and 136.26 grams of marijuana (standard drug price of P16,351.20).
The police also conducted 11 anti-illegal gambling operations, leading to the arrest of 10 gamblers, seizure of P2,979 in bet money, and the filing of 10 cases.
In 46 operations against wanted persons, authorities arrested 46 individuals, including 23 considered as most wanted persons. Finally, three guns were surrendered, and three were turned in for safekeeping in the operation against loose firearms.
Muarip said these achievements reflect not only the dedication of the men and women of DCPO but also the strong partnership with the community, barangay officials, and the Local Government Unit. Together, we continue to build a safer and more peaceful Davao City.
