THE DEPARTMENT of the Interior and Local Government XI recognized Davao City for its good governance and best practices for innovations.
Davao City bagged various awards in the recently concluded Search for Best Practices in Digital Innovations during the 2025 Philippine Local Governance Forum (PLGF) – Mindanao Island Circuit.
The city’s CRM System (CRMS) V.2 was given the Digital Governance Excellence Award under the Provincial/HUC Category, along with Centralized Data Center and Wide-Area Network Project of Tagum City under the component cities category; and the Municipality of Matanao’s Legislative Records Tracking and Electronic Data Storage Access System under Municipalities category.
The Davao City Reports App was recognized as a Digital Public Service Innovation Awardee, along with Tagum City’s eRehistro.
The Davao City Reports App is the official complaints platform where residents can submit a report and view the progress of their complaint.
Meanwhile, the Streetscape Ordinance was awarded the Smart and Inclusive LGU Award. This ordinance aims to establish comprehensive design standards that improve safety, accessibility, and efficiency, ensuring the city’s infrastructure is sustainable.
DILG 11 highlighted that such innovations prove that creativity and digital information can be of use to local governance and best serve the constituents.
“Your commitment to leveraging technology for transparent, efficient, and citizen-centered governance truly sets a benchmark for others to follow,” DILG XI stressed.
