THE TRAFFIC Enforcement Unit of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) issued citation tickets to 25 motorists for various traffic violations.
The one-hour operation, dubbed “Oplan Kalsada,” focused on addressing aggressive, unroadworthy, and illegally modified vehicles, began at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 16.
Staff Sergeant Guadalupe led the operation under the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel Christian Antonio D. Garcia, TEU chief.
The apprehended motorists were cited for offenses including violations of the Motorcycle Helmet Act (Republic Act 10054), other provisions of the Land Transportation and Traffic Code (Republic Act 4136), and local city ordinances, specifically City Ordinance 0334-12.
The operation also targeted vehicles with illegally modified or loud mufflers, commonly known as “bora-bora” or “kalkal.”
