OLONGAPO CITY, Zambales — Maxim Rides & Food Delivery provided relief assistance to 100 families affected by flooding and joined a river cleanup in Barangay West Bajac-Bajac as part of its community support efforts. The relief operation was held on September 18, followed by the river cleanup on September 19.
The relief operation was conducted in coordination with Barangay Captain Billy Capistrano. Each relief package contained 2 kilograms of rice, three sachets of instant coffee, three cans of sardines, and three packs of instant noodles to provide basic food supplies to families recovering from the flooding.
“We believe that supporting the community goes beyond our day-to-day services. When situations like this arise, we want to do our part and extend help to the people around us,” said James Nunez, Head of Maxim Olongapo.
A total of 48 Maxim driver-partners participated in the relief operation and helped distribute the packages. In recognition of their participation, Maxim waived their commission for one week.
The community effort continued on September 19, when 43 Maxim driver-partners joined the river cleanup in Barangay West Bajac-Bajac. The activity helped clear waste from the area while encouraging community participation in maintaining a cleaner environment.
Through relief operations and community cleanups, Maxim continues to work with local communities and encourage its driver-partners to take part in initiatives that provide support and contribute to the areas where they operate.
