MAJOR General Alvin Luzon, commander of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, challenged newly assigned personnel and trainees to uphold the highest standards of military professionalism during a recent visit to the 10th Division Training School (10DTS).
Addressing newly commissioned Second Lieutenants, Candidate Soldiers, Restructured Reenlistment Program (RRP) personnel, and Platoon Sergeants on Sept. 19, Luzon emphasized the core framework of AGILA —Accountability, Growth, Integrity, Loyalty, and Achievement through Excellence.
The division commander stressed that these values must serve as the bedrock for personal development and military service as the unit carries out its primary mandate of protecting the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He also highlighted the division’s ongoing execution of external security operations (ESO) under the comprehensive archipelagic defense operations.
“Build your character, sharpen your competence, and always be ready to serve the nation,” Luzon urged the troops.
The high-level visit featured a “Commander’s Time” dialogue, designed to foster direct engagement between command leadership and incoming personnel while reinforcing operational readiness, disciplined service, and the overarching mission of the Philippine Army in regional security.
