THE 10TH Infantry Division (10ID) served over 500 families in its host community during the annual “Handog ng Agila” gift-giving and medical mission at its division headquarters in Barangay Tuboran, Mawab, on Sunday, Aug. 16.

Led by 10ID commander MGEN Alvin Luzon, in partnership with Barangay Tuboran Chairman Rolando Gono, the outreach program provided essential medical, social, and personal care services to residents living adjacent to the military installation.

Residents received comprehensive healthcare assistance, including general medical and OB-GYN consultations, dental procedures, essential medicines, and multivitamins.

The event also featured grooming and haircut services, as well as food pack distributions from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) XI.

The annual outreach is a centerpiece of the 10ID’s ongoing civic-military operations, serving as a major highlight of the division’s month-long 20th Founding Anniversary celebration, themed “Agila: Sustaining Peace, Securing Sovereignty, Inspiring Excellence @20.”

In his address to beneficiaries and community leaders, Luzon emphasized that the military’s role in the region extends far beyond combat and territorial defense, highlighting the armed forces’ dedication to community welfare and service.

“True strength is not only measured by our ability to fight, but by our willingness to help and care,” Luzon stated.

The Department of Health (DOH) XI, DSWD XI, Barangay Tuboran officials, the 10th Station Hospital, G7 civil-military operations, local healthcare volunteers, civic groups, and private sector stakeholders also supported the outreach program.
