MANILA, Philippines — Legendary rock band U2 unveiled “Street of Dreams,” the first single from their forthcoming studio album and their first new full-length project in nine years. Released via Island Records, the song marks the beginning of a new era for one of the most influential bands in music history.
The track is now available on all major digital streaming platforms, giving fans worldwide their first taste of what’s to come from the iconic quartet.
The release is especially significant for Filipino fans, who welcomed U2 for their first-ever concert in the Philippines at the Philippine Arena during The Joshua Tree Tour 2019. The landmark show remains one of the band’s most memorable stops in Asia, bringing thousands of fans together for a once-in-a-generation live music experience. Accompanying the single is an official music video filmed in Mexico City, where the band visited during the 2026 Street Child World Cup Finals Tournament. Despite challenging weather conditions, the production continued with the help of local residents, resulting in a visually striking video that reflects the song’s spirit and atmosphere. Produced by longtime collaborator Jacknife Lee, “Street of Dreams” captures the unmistakable sound that has defined Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. for nearly five decades.
