MANILA — Mother’s Day is often celebrated with flowers and gifts for mom, but everyday expressions of love and care for her are just as meaningful. This Mother’s Day, Hanabishi Appliances teamed up with Locar Gaming’s Carlo Santos, alongside his wife Gabby and their daughter Sunsun, to highlight the everyday moments that define family life.
“Our latest campaign, Everyday Moments with Mom, is all about celebrating the simple yet meaningful ways families care for one another, and the love and guidance that mom provides,” said Hanabishi Appliances VP for Finance and Marketing Cherish Ong-Chua.
The campaign’s first video posted on TikTok shows Gabby and Carlo creating two desserts for Sunsun using a Hanabishi Microwave Oven. While waiting for the dishes to cook, Carlo asked Gabby about the challenges of raising a child. Gabby candidly rated being a mother at different stages of her child’s life, and also expressed her appreciation for having a partner like Carlo who shared in her responsibilities.
In the second video posted during Mother’s Day, Gabby and Carlo prepared breakfast for Sunsun. Using the Hanabishi Induction Cooker, they created a dish using simple ingredients like sliced bread, peanut butter, eggs, cinnamon, and bananas. While they do so, they are cooled by a Hanabishi Tower Fan.
Gabby and Carlo talked about the realities of parenting — from the time Sunsun was a newborn to becoming a toddler. Carlo praised Gabby for her efforts and how quickly she adapted into motherhood. “Sa sobrang ikling panahon na magprepare ka, talagang naging all-out mother ka,” he said.
While the desserts and breakfast they made were simple and can easily be done, Gabby and Carlo’s love for Sunsun is great, and she reciprocates this with hugs and kisses as she enjoyed the dishes her parents prepared. “Being a mother is reflected in the small gestures we do every day, the tone of voice we use on our child, and even in the way we answer their questions. You can see them in the gentle parenting that Gabby shows Sunsun, and the way she reacts to her mother’s gesture naturally,” said Ong-Chua.
She added that Hanabishi is every mom’s quiet, dependable support system throughout the years.
