The Manila Slot Coordinating Committee (MSCC), composed of the DOTr, Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB), and NAIA operator New NAIA Infrastructure Corp. (NNIC), had ordered the gradual phaseout of turboprop operations at NAIA in December 2024 as a way to ease congestion and maximize air traffic flow at the NAIA.
The original deadline for the full transfer was October 26, 2025, but the resolution was amended on July 29, 2025, extending the phaseout to March 29, 2026.
