AT LEAST 45,000 residents received holiday gift packs during the annual “Pasko Pahalipay sa Taal 2025” held at NHA Bangkal on Christmas Day, an event local authorities described as “peaceful and incident-free.”

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) acting director Col Mannan C. Muarip oversaw the security operations for the tradition, which took place along Ulas Road and Taal Street.

The event, a cornerstone of the city government’s holiday outreach, featured gift distributions and live entertainment.

Muarip supervised the deployment, conducting foot patrols and inspecting security posts to ensure the safety of the large crowd.

The success of the distribution was attributed to a synchronized effort between the DCPO, security and safety clusters, force multipliers, and community volunteers who managed traffic flow and crowd control throughout the day.
