A 44-YEAR-OLD carrying a fake PWD ID is apprehended by the Sta. Ana Police on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025.
Redendo Martinez, an official at the Persons with Disability Affairs Office, told TIMES that the individual asked for assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development office.
Martinez said he received a call from Gilda Saldaña, a PDAO staff, asking for verification for the identity of the said individual.
“In order to further verify if it’s allowed, we verified it in our system and the one registered is different from the name on the PWD ID presented to us,” he said.
Martinez asked the DSWD to seek assistance from Sta. Ana Police station to apprehend the individual.
“The number is the same, but the name is different, so therefore, she falsified the document,” he added.
The apprehended individual is currently at the Sta. Ana Police Station, subject for further investigation.
“Maybe we can get information on where she forged it. That’s our next target to dismantle these establishments falsifying PWD IDs,” Martinez said.
