Davao City – Some 300 entries are expected to see action in the 2026 Davao Pobre Bikers Association (DAPOBA) Uphill Cycling Challenge which is set to reel off this 2 August starting at the Barangay Eden Bayabas Toril going to Elias Lopez Elementary School.
This was announced Thursday, 23 July at the weekly Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum by Roselyn Dayanan and Diday Casaljay of the organizing DAPOBA.
According to Dayanan, these riders will come from all over the Davao Region competing in the 4.9 kilometer uphill paved track vying for cash prizes and medals.
“We have some seeded players coming from the national team who we are expecting to see action,” added Casaljay.
The competition will have the road bike class with nine age-group categories starting 18U to 60 years-old and above categories and for the mountain bike having 18U to 42-49 years-old and ladies divisions.
