Child’s milk triggers construction worker into  stabbing live-in partner

A 31-YEAR-OLD construction worker was arrested on Saturday night after he allegedly stabbed his live-in partner with a pair of scissors during an argument in Purok 5, Barangay Communal, Buhangin.

According to a report from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), the suspect, identified as Jay, arrived home drunk at around 10 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2025. 

A heated argument reportedly ensued after his 25-year-old partner asked him for money to buy milk for their child. 

The altercation escalated when Jay allegedly stabbed Lyn in the back of the neck with a pair of scissors.

The victim ran away from the house and sought help from local authorities, who promptly arrested the suspect.

The victim was rushed to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) for emergency medical treatment.

The suspect is currently in police custody and will be facing a charge of attempted homicide.
