Troops of the 27th Infantry (ACTION) Battalion, a unit of the 10th Infantry Division, have been certified as “trained” after successfully completing the rigorous Battalion Evaluation and Certification Program (BECP).
The training, held from July 25 to Aug. 8, 2025, at the Combat Readiness Training Area (CRTA) in Kalilangan, Bukidnon, marks a significant step in the unit’s strategic transition toward external security operations.
The BECP is a comprehensive program designed to enhance a battalion’s ability to conduct rapid mobilization and sustainment operations.
Through a series of realistic, scenario-based drills, the training platform sharpens the tactical decision-making and reinforces the cohesion of the unit, ensuring seamless coordination across all warfare domains.
The timing of this certification is crucial as the 27th Infantry Battalion is transitioning its primary mission from internal security tasks to a more outward-oriented mandate.
With a reported decline in insurgent threats, the unit is redirecting its full efforts toward External Security Operations to safeguard the nation’s territorial boundaries against evolving foreign challenges.
Evaluators from various offices of the Philippine Army confirmed the unit’s readiness, with the “Trained” rating signifying that the ACTION battalion is well-equipped with tactical skills and disciplined for its new mission to defend the nation and serve the Filipino people.
