Millions await Pasko Fiesta sa Davao entries

AWARDS and prizes worth millions of pesos await entries of various activities in the month-long Pasko Fiesta 2025, set to open on Nov. 27.

The City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) announced the official calendar of events for the Pasko Fiesta 2025, beginning with the Dan-ag sa Davao ug Pag-abli sa Pasko at 6 p.m. on Nov. 27 in Rizal Park. 

With the theme “Paskong Dabawenyo, Paskong Pilipino,” this year’s event will be celebrated from Nov. 21 to Dec. 31. 

The Banda Dasig sa Pasko Fiesta, open and school-based (Dec. 7), is giving away P250,000 and a trophy for the grand winner; P150,000 for 2nd; P100,000 for 3rd, and P25,000 for consolation prizes.

For the special awards for each category, the Best Conductor, Best Music, Best in Lighting and Artistic Design, and Best Color Guard will receive P25,000 each.

Meanwhile, for Parada sa Pasko Fiesta, the grand winner will win P450,000 and a trophy; P250,000 and a trophy for 2nd place; P150,000 and a trophy for 3rd place; and P50,000 for consolation prizes.

The Koro sa Pasko will have four categories: Senior Citizens, School-Based Elementary, School-Based High School, and Open Category (College, Community-based, and Professional).

The first place for the first three categories will bring home P50,000 and a plaque; P35,000 and a plaque for second place; and P25,000 and a plaque for third place. The School-Based High School will have a consolation prize of P20,000.

Meanwhile, for the open category, the first place will win P75,000 and a plaque; P50,000 and a plaque for the second place; and P35,000 and a plaque for the third place.

For the Pasko sa Barangay, for every Congressional District, the first place wins P75,000, the second place wins P50,000, and the third place wins P30,000. Meanwhile, for the overall city final prizes, first place wins P250,000; second place wins P150,000; third place wins P100,000, and consolation prizes of P35,000 each.

For Nov. 28–30 and on Dec. 13, and 25–28, the City Hall will be filled with Christmas carols for the Panayegon sa City Hall.

The Perya sa Pasko at the Rizal Park Open Grounds is open from Dec. 1–25. The Pasko Fiesta: Merry Merkado will be in Tulip Drive, Coastal Road, Times Beach Rotunda on Dec. 26–31.

On Dec. 6, 2025, choral groups will be competing for the Grand Finals of the Koro sa Pasko competition at Rizal Park.

The Pasko Fiesta Food Market and Bazaar will run from Dec. 16–18 at the Rizal Park, while Siyam ka Kadlawon: Misa de Aguinaldo at San Pedro ug Pamainit sa Pasko will run from Dec. 16–24. 

The Kasadya sa Pasko ug Kalingawan sa Distrito will run from Dec. 15–20. Misa Dabawenyo will also be held at the San Pedro Cathedral on Dec. 25 at 3 p.m.
