- DCPO seizes ₱9.4-M in illegal drugs in one week
THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) seized over ₱9.4 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 68 individuals for various offences during a week-long anti-crime operations from Nov. 23 to Nov. 29, 2025,
Acting city director Col Mannan Muarip said law enforcers conducted 37 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 41 suspects and the confiscation of 1,388.9302 grams of shabu (SDP: P9,444,725.36), and 3.9200 grams of marijuana (SDP: P470.40).
During the same period, police also launched seven anti-illegal gambling operations, arrested seven gamblers, and confiscated P1,395 in bet money. They also filed seven cases against the violators.
Simultaneously, 33 operations against wanted persons led to the arrest of 16 individuals, including 17 most wanted persons.
Meanwhile, nine operations on loose firearms resulted in the arrest of four suspects, the seizure of four guns, the surrender of another five firearms, and the filing of three cases.
Muarip credited the help of the community, barangay officials, and the local government unit for the achievement.
“Together, we continue to build a safer and more peaceful Davao City,” the DCPO statement concluded.
