MAJOR General Alvin Luzon, commander of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, set the command’s trajectory for 2026 during the year’s first flag-raising ceremony at Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr. in Mawab town, Davao de Oro, on Monday.
Also, 44 newly assigned second lieutenants were inducted during the ceremony as they joined the Agila Division to strengthen leadership and support ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security across the region and nearby provinces.
During the activity, Luzon welcomed the newly assigned officers, including Major Leo Abulencia, Captain Rovelyn Quintas, and the 44 second lieutenants, affixing the 10ID patches to symbolize their formal induction and commitment to the Division’s mission.
The ceremony also recognized Thea Grace Mission of OG2 for her two years and seven months of dedicated service as Best Civilian Human Resource (Administrative Category) for Calendar Year 2025, as she bade farewell to the command.
Replacing her is Genebeth Corton, who is assigned to the 10ID Station Hospital.
Additionally, the newly promoted Division Imam, Captain Arafat Abdulcader, was formally donned with rank, acknowledging his vital role in strengthening the moral and spiritual foundation of Agila troopers.
In his message, Luzon emphasized the importance of leadership, unity, and shared purpose as the Division moves forward in 2026. He reminded all personnel to uphold the highest standards of service, remain loyal to the Constitution, exercise professionalism, and use proper channels to address concerns rather than airing internal matters on social media.
“When the wings move as one, the Agila soars the highest. Let us remain united, disciplined, and mission-focused as we continue to serve the people of the Davao Region and our nation,” Luzon said.
