FIFTEEN driver-partners from Maxim Rides & Food Delivery in Zamboanga participated in a blood drive organized in collaboration with the Red Cross blood bank of the LGU.

The initiative’s goal was to support the local healthcare system and show that everyone can contribute to saving someone’s life. Driver-partners visited the blood bank during their free time, underwent medical check-ups, and donated blood for patients in need of transfusion. In total, they donated almost six liters of blood. To express gratitude to its partners, Maxim offered them a week of commission-free work in the Taxsee Driver app and rewarded them with treats.

“We are proud that our driver-partners not only want to participate in important city projects but actively do so. For us, it’s not just about providing quality service, it’s about being an active part of the community we provide our services to,” emphasizes Maldisa Ahiddan Mali, head of Maxim Zamboanga.

The Red Cross expressed its readiness to establish broader partnerships with Maxim at the national level. This will ensure ongoing support for state-run blood banks across the Philippines.

“We’d like to say thank you to Maxim for replenishing our blood supplies. This is a lifesaving campaign since public hospitals struggle with donor shortages, especially when emergency transfusions are required. It’s possible that this very initiative will save someone’s life,” comments the Philippine Red Cross branch administrator in Zamboanga.
