Empowering Communities and the Environment Through Innovation and Reforestation Efforts

Cebu City – ACMobility, the largest dealer network for Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI), celebrated a major milestone as it planted its 15,000th tree under the AC Mobility Advancing Community, Reforestation, and Environmental Responsibility (ACRE) Movement at the Carbon Forest Site in Kan-Irag Nature Park, Cebu City.

The initiative, launched in 2022, pledges to plant and nurture one tree for every car sold. Initially targeting 10,000 trees in two years, the program has now exceeded its goal with 15,000 thriving native Philippine trees, including Narra, Tuai, Toog, Kamagong, Lagnob, Almaciga, and Kalingag.

The event gathered Honda executives, employees, car owners, and recent buyers, coinciding with Honda Cars Cebu’s 33rd anniversary, marking over three decades of serving the Visayas-Mindanao region since 1992.

ACRE Movement: Leading the Way in Environmental Responsibility

The ACRE Movement is a flagship initiative that aims to give back to the environment through its Gift of Tree program. As part of the program, Ayala Land Inc. and its partners will plant and nurture one tree for every new Honda vehicle sold. This initiative supports the restoration of the company’s carbon forests in Alaminos, Laguna, and Kan-Irag, Cebu, and has become a vital part of ACMobility’s vision for a greener, more sustainable future.

This significant milestone was marked during the first batch site visit with Honda ACMobility customers from Cebu and Mandaue branches together with branch representatives from Iloilo, Negros Occidental and Cagayan de Oro. The milestone recipient, was honoured for receiving recognition for her purchase of a 2025 Honda BR-V at the Mandaue dealership, symbolizing her contribution to the environmental cause.

“We want to make sure that we don’t just plant trees—we also nurture them,” said Steve Gingco, Head of Auto Care and Retail. “This is our commitment to ensure that future generations inherit a greener and healthier environment.”

Beyond reforestation, the ACRE Movement contributes to carbon offsetting, watershed protection, and biodiversity restoration. The Carbon Forest Site continues to stand as a symbol of Honda’s long-term commitment to sustainability and responsible mobility.

With every Honda vehicle purchased, customers also take part in building a greener future—driving not just with style and innovation, but with purpose.

As part of its dedication to environmental responsibility, ACMobility invites everyone to join the mission to create a greener future, one tree at a time. Visit https://acmobility.ph/ to learn more about what the company has to offer with its green initiatives.
