- PDEA XI seizes P3.3-M worth of drugs from arrested suspect
AN ALLEGED big-time drug suspect was arrested in a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI buy-bust, in coordination with Baliok Police Station, around 5:10 p.m. in Farland Extension, Dumoy, Davao City, on Nov. 10.
The suspect, 53-year-old alias Warlito, allegedly sold one medium heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth ₱7,000 to a PDEA agent who acted as a poseur-buyer.
PDEA XI spokesperson Nephi Noli Dimaandal said the suspect also yielded 15 sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 520 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱3,536,000.
Dimaandal said the successful operation is part of PDEA’s intensified anti-drug campaign, under the leadership of regional director Edgar Jubay, to dismantle major drug networks operating in the region.
The suspect faces a charge for violating Sec 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
