ACTING Mayor Sebastian Duterte visited the 89th Infantry Battalion’s patrol base in Barangay Buda, Marilog District, on Aug. 7, 2025, to inspect the facility and reinforce the city’s commitment to its security forces.
The visit, which is part of the mayor’s oversight duties, was focused on assessing the current state of the patrol base.
Duterte inspected the facilities, checked the availability of essential utilities like electricity and water, and evaluated the overall welfare of the troops stationed there.
Discussions during the visit also centered on planned enhancements and renovations for the camp.
These initiatives are aimed at improving the living conditions and operational effectiveness of the personnel.
The mayor’s presence also served to reiterate the importance of the culture of security in the Davao Region, a key initiative for maintaining peace and order.
Duterte’s visit to the far-flung patrol base underscores the city government’s ongoing support for its security forces and its dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of all communities in Davao City.
