PHILIPPINE Seven Corporation (PSC), operator of 7-Eleven stores in the country, plans to open 28 more branches in Davao City.
The Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC) announced the development on its Facebook page, adding that if the plan pushes through, it would bring the total to 91 stores.
The expansion plan was presented on Sept. 30, 2026, during a meeting facilitated by the DCIPC between PSC officers and Councilor Ragde Ibuyan, who represented the City Council.
Officials of the PSC, the exclusive licensee of 7-Eleven in the Philippines, briefed the city on the company’s operations and growth plans in Davao.
The DCIPC said the 28 additional branches are scheduled to open in key commercial corridors, but locations and scheduled opening dates are yet to be disclosed.
PSC is working with the city to comply with local regulations, including securing the permits and business licenses.
Each 7-Eleven store employs at least 10 people and offers employee benefits, according to PSC. Based on that figure, the 28 planned stores would create at least 280 direct jobs.
Ibuyan welcomed PSC’s continued investment in the city and reiterated the local government’s support for businesses that bring convenience and economic development
“Opportunities that bring growth to Davao City and jobs to Davaoeños are more than welcome,” Ibuyan said.
The first 7-Eleven Drive-Thru opened in September at Tulip Drive, Talomo District.
