THE 10TH Infantry Division is evaluating strategic hinterland locations across the Davao Region to establish cantonment areas, mobilization centers, and military training facilities in support of external security operations (ESO).
10ID commander MGEN Alvin Luzon personally conducted an aerial reconnaissance across the division’s Area of Responsibility to assess terrain, accessibility, and tactical suitability for future territorial defense needs.
Following the aerial inspection, subordinate commanders and staff officers briefed Maj. Gen. Luzon on operational factors critical to long-term military planning. Discussions focused on identifying key sites for troop staging, reserve force development, and training infrastructure across Southeastern Mindanao.
“Our preparations for external security operations must be deliberate and forward-looking,” Luzon emphasized. “By assessing potential areas and strengthening our capabilities, we ensure that the Division remains ready to meet future operational requirements and contribute to the Philippine Army’s territorial defense mission.”
The strategic survey forms part of the Agila Division’s transition toward reinforcing territorial defense priorities while maintaining stability and operational readiness across its territorial jurisdiction.
