TWO HIGH-VALUE former rebels from the North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC) were formally turned over to the Provincial Government of Bukidnon on Sept. 5, 2025, at the 403rd Infantry “Peacemaker” Brigade headquarters.
The event was led by Governor Rogelio Neil P. Roque, along with Major General Michele B. Anayron Jr., commander of the 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division, and Brigadier General Seigfred C. Tubalado, commander of the 403rd Infantry “Peacemaker” Brigade.
Alias Shaggy and Pia, who previously held significant roles within the North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC), surrendered on Sept. 2, 2025, following the Aug. 27 encounter between the 403rd Brigade and NCMRC leadership in the Saldab Complex, in the boundaries of Malaybalay City and Impasug-ong.
As part of their reintegration, the former rebels received immediate cash assistance from the provincial government to help them transition back to civilian life.
Governor Roque emphasized that the provincial government, in partnership with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, remains committed to peace and development.
He highlighted that the initiative falls under the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), which is designed to help former rebels rebuild their lives and foster sustainable peace in the province.
Anayron Jr. and Tubalado reiterated the military’s commitment to not only secure communities but also offer reconciliation to those willing to return to the fold of the law.
