THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) has intensified random checks on local precincts to enforce strict internal discipline and ensure maximum law enforcement presence in residential communities.
DCPO director PCOL Peter B. Madria personally led a series of on-the-spot inspections and corrections on Aug. 24, evaluating personnel readiness and operational protocols at Police Station 19 (Eden) and Police Station 8 (Toril).
The surprise visits form part of the DCPO’s broader campaign to strengthen tactical readiness, streamline emergency response times, and prevent crime through heightened street visibility.
During the inspections, Madria directed station commanders and field personnel to maintain continuous, proactive patrols while fostering open communication with community members.
“Visible and proactive policing remains our primary defense in deterring criminal activity and keeping Davao City safe,” Madria emphasized. “Our officers on the ground must stay alert, approachable, and actively engaged with the public to build trust and ensure immediate response to any safety concerns.”
The DCPO command reaffirmed that unannounced field inspections will continue regularly across all police stations in the city to guarantee that officers remain mission-oriented, disciplined, and accountable in their daily duties.
