POLICE Regional Office (PRO) XI tracker teams captured Davao Region’s Top 1 most wanted person following a manhunt operation in Barangay Bayugan 3, Rosario, Agusan del Sur, on Thursday morning, Oct. 1.
Operatives from the Tagum City Police Station, in coordination with the 2nd Agusan del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Regional Intelligence Unit 13, served the arrest warrant against the suspect identified only by the alias Jessel at around 10 a.m.
The arrest stemmed from the non-bailable warrant for murder issued under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code by the Acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Eleventh Judicial Region, Branch 1, in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
PRO-11 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Benigno L. Guzman praised the joint operating units for the capture, emphasizing that the arrest demonstrates PRO-11’s relentless commitment to track down high-value fugitives across regional boundaries.
Guzman added that the successful operation directly supports the directive of PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. to intensify intelligence-driven manhunts against wanted individuals to ensure justice for crime victims.
The suspect is currently in police custody undergoing documentation prior to formal turnover to the issuing court in Tagum City.
