A WEEK-LONG anti-criminality drive across Davao City resulted in the arrest of 103 individuals and the confiscation of nearly ₱1.97 million worth of illegal drugs, local police authorities reported Monday.
The data, released by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director PCOL Peter B. Madria, covered law enforcement operations under the PNP’s four focused directives from Aug. 23 to Aug. 29, 2026.
These include:
- Police conducted 41 anti-drug operations, arresting 42 suspects. Authorities seized 101.87 grams of shabu valued at ₱692,716 and a massive 10,617.61 grams (10.6 kg) of marijuana worth ₱1,274,113.20—bringing total drug contraband to ₱1,966,829.20.
- Law enforcers carried out 36 operations against wanted persons, apprehending 36 individuals, including 11 Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) facing various court warrants.
- DCPO conducted 22 operations against illegal firearms, resulting in three arrests, two court cases filed, and the recovery or turnover of 20 firearms (4 seized, 3 recovered, and 13 voluntarily surrendered through Oplan Katok).
- Police units launched 17 anti-gambling operations, arresting 21 individuals, confiscating ₱9,425 in bet money, and filing 17 formal cases in court.
“These achievements reflect not only the dedication of the men and women of DCPO but also the strong partnership with the community, barangay officials, and the local government unit,” the DCPO command statement read.
