SUNTRUST Properties Inc. marked another milestone in Davao City with the property blessing and ceremonial turnover of Tower 3 of One Lakeshore Drive at S.P. Dacudao Loop, Davao Park District, Lanang, Davao City.
Held on Saturday, Aug. 15, the event brings the four-tower residential community closer to completion following the ceremonial turnovers of Towers 1 and 2.
One Lakeshore Drive has approximately 1,260 residential units and 27 commercial units, offering Studio, 1-Bedroom and 2-Bedroom units designed for different types of homeowners and investors.

But beyond providing a place to live, Suntrust positions One Lakeshore Drive as a “lifestyle community.”
A city close to home

Located within the 11.2-hectare Davao Park District, One Lakeshore Drive gives residents access to a growing township designed around work, business, leisure and learning.
Its location in Lanang places residents near major shopping centers, schools, hospitals, business establishments and tourist destinations. It is also within reach of the airport and port, making travel and everyday activities more convenient.
The development is surrounded by destinations such as SM Lanang Premier, Gaisano Mall and Robinsons Galleria Davao, while schools and hospitals are also nearby.

Built for Davao’s growing market
Suntrust executives said Davao remains an important market as it continues to grow as the hub for education, healthcare, commerce, and business in Mindanao.
“Davao has always been an important market for Suntrust, and One Lakeshore Drive allows us to bring our residential offerings closer to more homebuyers in the city,” said Suntrust first vice president for sales and marketing Jerry R. Rubis.

He said the development caters to a mix of end users and investors, including buyers from neighboring provinces who consider Davao for a “second home” or an investment.
Rubis also noted that condominium supply in provincial areas has not presented the same oversupply concerns seen in some markets.
Atty. Basilio C. Almazan, Jr., senior vice president of Suntrust Properties Inc., added that the opening of another tower also serves as an assurance to buyers that the company continues to deliver its projects.
Quake-ready: safety and quality matter

Almazan emphasized that the company’s track record of delivering developments is part of the confidence it wants to give its buyers, as safety is an important consideration, especially with the city’s experience with earthquakes.
“We just like to emphasize that for the past 50 or more developments that we have been having, we have more than 50 developments, and that’s all over the country, both in vertical and in horizontal. We have consistently delivered what we have committed. And this is another strong indication and a fulfillment of the promise we have made before,” he said.
Rubis likewise highlighted the importance of choosing a reputable developer and a well-constructed condominium, saying this can give residents “greater peace of mind” when living in a condominium despite Davao City’s occasional earthquakes.
More than a condo

The actual turnover of Tower 3 units is expected next month, with the company currently preparing the initial floors.
With only a few units remaining, One Lakeshore Drive is moving closer to its vision of becoming a complete residential community within Davao Park District.
For Suntrust, the development is not just about owning a condominium unit. It is about having a home in a location where work, education, business, and leisure are within reach, offering residents not just a place to live, but a lifestyle in the heart of Davao City.
