THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) launched a series of simulation exercises (SIMEX) this week to test tactical response capabilities and strengthen campus security frameworks alongside regional education leaders.
On Wednesday, Sept. 2, DCPO director PCOL Peter Bauzon Madria led police commanders and tactical units in the “EMPO Challenge” SIMEX at DCPO headquarters war room.
The command-level exercise evaluated real-time communication protocols, operational discipline, and inter-unit coordination among police stations and specialized squads as they faced simulated crisis scenarios.
The tactical drill follows a joint planning walkthrough held Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Davao City National High School with officials from the Department of Education Region XI.
Madria met with DCNHS Principal IV Evelyn E. Magno, school administrators, and agency partners to establish security protocols for upcoming campus-level drills designed to defend schools against security threats and online risks.
Madria emphasized that combining internal command post exercises with direct campus engagement builds institutional resilience and reinforces public safety across the city.
DCPO affirmed that similar simulation exercises and security walkthroughs will continue across key public facilities and educational institutions to maintain high operational readiness.
