LOCAL police swiftly apprehended a helper at the 5-A Barangay Hall following a reported incident of malicious mischief discovered early Friday morning, Sept. 19, 2026.
According to reports, the incident came to light at around 7:16 a.m. when the barangay treasurer inspected the office and found multiple documents displaced and various items disturbed.
Authorities confirmed that no items were reported missing from the premises.
Responding to the scene, local police personnel immediately conducted a thorough verification and investigation, which quickly led to the apprehension of the suspect, who is reportedly employed as a helper at the barangay hall.
Despite the apprehension, the barangay captain opted not to file a formal criminal complaint, noting that the suspect is personally known to local officials.
The incident has nevertheless been officially recorded in the police blotter for proper documentation and official tracking.
Following the incident, the Davao City Police Office issued a public reminder urging citizens to respect public property and to immediately report any disturbances or property damage to law enforcement authorities.
