SEVEN former members of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) surrendered to the 25th Infantry Battalion (25IB) at Camp Kalaw, Barangay Poblacion, Monkayo, Davao de Oro, on Nov. 18, 2025.

The individuals previously ceased active participation (termed “lie-low” status) in the CTG movement, finally surrendered through the concerted efforts of the 25IB, partner Davao de Oro local government units, former rebels, and peace partners.

The 25IB welcomed the returnees and thanked the communities and LGUs for their critical cooperation.

These collaborative efforts underscored the government’s commitment to facilitating the transition of former CTG members back into civil society.

The 25IB is committed to providing operational support to ensure the positive peace initiatives of Davao de Oro remain effective. The province, under the leadership of Governor Raul Mabanglo, will continue to sustain essential programs required for a peaceful and progressive region.
