LONG AFTER the month of April has gone, its significance as the month when we celebrate our love for Mother Nature will long be appreciated. For us, April 22 has always been Tree Planting Day.
This year, the significance of the environment and the role we play to keep the environment healthy was highlighted by Park Inn by Radisson Davao as it hosted “Plate for the Planet.”
It’s the hotel’s way of celebrating sustainable dining, serving dishes made with locally sourced ingredients that support our community and protect the planet, while honoring the rich flavors of our culture.

Executive Sous Chef Vance Bolivar crafted the evening’s menu. Each ingredient was selected from local producers, in partnership with trusted farms such as Hijo Farms and Malagos Farmhouse, represented by Olive Puentespina, highlighting the richness of our region while supporting our local communities.

Hosting the event were GM Sven Toune, Liza Gamo, Thea Ledesma, Raphaella Gupiteo, and Chef Vance Bolivar.

The open-air, early-evening, intimate dinner was held at the Al Fresco Garden of Park Inn by Radisson Davao, under the trees and a moonlit sky, minimizing the use of air conditioning units and saving precious energy in the midst of a crisis!
