ONCE AGAIN, the Philippine Women’s College of Davao has reaffirmed its commitment to foster entrepreneurship, creativity, and forward-thinking solutions through its Creative Hub for Innovation (CHI+).
As one of only four creative-industry–focused technology business incubators accredited under the DOST–PCIEERD’s HEIRIT 2.0 Program, CHI+ continues to serve as a vital platform for cultivating innovators in the region, guided by a Bio-Circular-Green framework.
Chancellor Vicente Antonio V. Pijano III represented PWC Davao at the ceremonial renewal of this commitment during the 9th TBI Summit. The gathering brought together TBI leaders and representatives from higher education institutions nationwide to strengthen collaborative efforts and advance a shared innovation agenda.

PWC also showcased its long-standing Institutional Management Enterprise, featuring robust food and fashion programs that contributed to the institution’s recognition as the top-performing TBI in the second batch of HEIRIT-funded incubators three years ago.
Joining Chancellor Pijano were FPIC center manager Maria Christina Ramos, CISV executive director Emi Englis, and BSIT program chair Archie Gonzaga.

The PWC team actively participated in both SalikSYNC: 1st National IMPACT Conference and the 9th TBI Summit, held from Nov, 5 to 8, 2025, at Citadines in Bacolod City.
DOST Secretary Renato Solidum Jr. and PCIEERD executive director Enrico Paringit led the formal opening of the summit.
Hosted by DOST–PCIEERD and UMWAD Western Visayas, the events convened leaders, researchers, and innovators shaping the country’s startup ecosystem—providing a dynamic venue for collaboration, dialogue, and renewed momentum toward inclusive regional innovation.
Running in parallel, the IMPACT Conference (IP Management Program for Academic and R&D Institutions Commercializing Technologies) emphasized the essential role of protecting and advancing Filipino-developed technologies.

Its newest phase, IMPACT NXT, seeks to strengthen sustainable and inclusive innovation pathways by enhancing technology transfer systems, empowering entrepreneurial universities, and supporting startups in scaling ideas into solutions with real-world impact.
Aligned with these national priorities, PWC of Davao commits to elevating its TBI toward IMPACT readiness by expanding BCG-aligned ventures in green textiles, emergency food and feeding program technologies, biofuel, and agri-waste development.
