AS A culminating highlight of the 33rd National Family Week, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted a Family Fun Run on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at the Davao Crocodile Park Grounds.

The Church joined the National Committee on the Filipino Family and the Department of Social Welfare and Development in commemorating National Family Week, observed this year on 21–27 September 2025, with the theme: “Polisiyang Makapamilya Tungo sa Higit na Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Pamilyang Pilipino.”

The theme underscores the vital responsibility of fostering family-centered programs that strengthen, uplift, and bring joy to every Filipino home. The Family Fun Run was a non-competitive activity open to all ages. Families, friends, and communities of all faiths were invited to participate in the 3K, 5K run or walk.

More than a race, it was an opportunity to celebrate togetherness, promote healthy living, and build stronger, more united communities.

National Family Week was established by Proclamation No. 60 (1992), which designated the last week of September each year as a time to honor and strengthen Filipino families.

Since then, government agencies, civic organizations, and faith-based groups have collaborated to hold activities that celebrate family life, promote meaningful bonding, and uphold the family as the foundation of society.
