THE POLICE Regional Office XI has rolled out its latest “Safer Cities Initiatives” by releasing an infographic detailing practical crime prevention safety tips designed to help citizens protect themselves and their properties.
The PRO XI campaign outlines four fundamental rules for the public to keep in mind during their daily routines:
- Stay Alert and Observant: Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and constantly aware of their surroundings, as well as to keep a close eye on their personal belongings.
- Avoid Walking Alone in the Dark: The public is strongly advised against walking alone in dimly lit or dangerous areas. If passing through these areas is unavoidable, individuals should walk with a trusted companion who can assist them in case of an emergency ( “Avoid walking alone in dark and dangerous areas…” ).
- Be Wary of Strangers: People are cautioned against engaging in conversation or interacting closely with unfamiliar individuals to minimize the risk of scams or sudden attacks ( “Avoid talking to strangers” ).
