ACTING Vice Mayor Rigo Duterte II believes that local flood control projects will withstand scrutiny, following the recent launch of a House of Representatives investigation into the issue in Davao City.
The acting vice mayor, who currently serves as a first district councilor, welcomed the probe, stating there was nothing to hide.
“Welcome, of course. They have already started their investigation here. Nothing is being hidden,” Duterte II said on Monday.
When asked directly about his certainty regarding the integrity of the local flood control projects, he was unequivocal:
“Very confident. I have seen [the projects] in the 1st district, the 2nd district.”
He further highlighted the transparency and hard work of his father, First District Rep. Paolo Duterte, in relation to the work in their district.
“You see how my father (Paolo Duterte) always shows his work,” he added.
