THE POLICE Regional Office XI arrested 79 suspects and seized more than a million worth of drugs across Davao Region from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1.
Brig Gen Joseph Arguelles said they conducted 80 anti-drug operations, resulting in the arrest of the individuals involved and the confiscation of illegal drugs valued at ₱1,275,333.80.
The comprehensive week-long effort led to the recovery of 182.9595 grams of shabu, 189.23 grams of dried marijuana leaves, and five tablets of cocaine, from 49 buy-bust operations, 16 warrant services, four search warrant implementations, two checkpoint operations, and nine police responses.
The Davao City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests with 42 suspects, followed by the Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office with 19 arrests.
Arguelles emphasized that these accomplishments demonstrate the PRO XI’s commitment to intensifying the fight against illegal drugs and ensuring safer communities.
“We remain committed to sustaining our operations to rid communities of illegal drugs and protect our people from their harmful effects,” Arguelles said. “This is in full alignment with the vision of our acting chief, PNP, Lt Gen Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr, for a drug-free and peaceful nation.”
