TOP OFFICIALS of the Police Regional Office (PRO) XI and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) recognized a wounded officer following the successful search warrant operation on Dec. 29, 2025, in Purok 3, Salooban, Bunawan.
Brig Gen Leon Victor Z. Rosete, regional director of PRO XI, led the visit alongside Col Mannan C. Muarip, acting city director of DCPO.
They were joined by Maj Janus Lumbaya B. Macli-ing, station commander of Bunawan Police Station (PS-6), and Capt Jade Rey Donado of the 13th Special Action Company (SAC).
The officials visited Pat. Geordy Fiel of the 13th SAC at the Southern Philippines Medical Center, where he is recovering from a gunshot wound to his left leg.
The injury was sustained during an armed confrontation with a suspect identified as alias “Rey-Rey” and his cohorts during the police operation.
Medals and support
During the visit, Rosete conferred the Medalya ng Sugatag Magiting (Wounded Personnel Medal) upon Pat. Fiel, recognizing his courage and gallantry in the line of duty.
In addition to the award, Muarip extended ₱50,000 in financial assistance to aid in the officer’s recovery.
The leadership also recommended the transfer of Pat. Fiel to the Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido Hospital for continued medical care once he is cleared for discharge from SPMC.
