Police lead joint sting in Calinan, seize ₱99K worth of shabu from ‘high-value’ suspect

AUTHORITIES arrested a high-value drug suspect and seized nearly ₱100,000 worth of suspected shabu during a late-night buy-bust operation in Barangay Calinan on Thursday.

The joint sting, which took place at approximately 10:04 p.m. on July 16, targeted a residence in Purok 25, Teacher’s Village, Barangay Calinan Poblacion.

Officers from Police Station 15 (Ecoland), led by commander PMAJ Rosario T. Aguilar, spearheaded the operation.They were backed by personnel from the 1st and 2nd City Mobile Force Companies (CMFC), operating in close coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency XI.

During the raid, law enforcers successfully apprehended the suspect, who has been classified by police as a street-level “high-value individual.”

Search and recovery teams confiscated approximately 14.66 grams of suspected shabu from the scene.

According to the DCPO, the seized drugs were valued at a standard drug price value of ₱99,688.

The confiscated substances have been submitted for laboratory screening, and the suspect faces formal charges for violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Davao City Police Office director PCOL Peter Bauzon Madria said, “This operation reaffirms our strict commitment to intensifying intelligence-driven campaigns.”
