POLICE Station 16 in Ma-a successfully arrested a high-value target and confiscated more than ₱108,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation at 12:27 p.m. in Midland Village, Barangay Ma-a, on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025.
The suspect, identified as alias Choy, was ranked as top seven drug target at the city-level.
Davao City Police Office (DCPO) acting director Col Mannan C. Muarip lauded the operation, which was led by Police Station 16 OIC Major Philip Dave U. Uddin.
“Illegal drugs remain a poison that slowly kills the potential of our people, especially the youth,” said Muarip.
“It tears families apart, fuels criminality, and undermines the very foundation of our communities. Let this arrest serve as a stern warning: in Davao City, there is no place for drug pushers and users.”
